If your kid is like mine, then you probably have stuffed animals all over the house. Stupid, stupid stuffies. They're the worst of the worst when it comes to kids toys, if you ask me. They take up so much room and they don't really do anything. I mean, sure, Vivian loves to hug hers and watch TV or cuddle up with them to go to bed, but other than that they just take up space and get covered in cat hair.
It was getting to the point where about half of her bed was covered with them, and one night we completely lost the iPad because it was buried under a plush avalanche. I wanted a place to put them that would be out of the way, but still accessible for Vivian. Also, I wanted to avoid those oh so 90s stuffed animal hammocks that ends up with the toys just being covered in dust.
Since Vivian's bed is pretty high off the ground (it's a day bed, so there's extra space to accommodate a trundle bed) I just went and got one of those under the bed wheeled boxes for them. It's big enough that most of the bigger ones can fit in and be in something of an upright position so she can find them. It's nice that it's shallow so they don't all just get buried and forgotten. This way we can just slide it under the bed when she isn't using them and she can slide it back out when she needs a new buddy with her.
